I really liked these scenes because Rarity looks like such a caring mother

and how nonchalant Applejack acts as Rarity cleans her up XD

What I love is that in these quick little snippets you can see just how much their friendship has developed since season 1.

Rarity used to nag Applejack about her cleanliness, and Applejack would jab at Rarity’s neat freak habits. In “Look Where You Sleep” they learned to accept each others differences, but at most they kind of just tolerated each other.

In Season 2 we not only see that have they accepted each others habits, but they’ve also worked to utilize them to suit their needs.

Applejack isn’t afraid to get messy and take care of the grunt work. Granted Rarity can take care of that, but she would prefer not to since it gets her hooves dirty.

They compromised on this with Applejack taking care of the messy work and Rarity being at her side to help clean up, not only the area, but Applejack herself.

They’re so nonchalant about it too, which shows that they’ve really gotten used to this type of teamwork and have utilized it before. In the last panel Applejack continues on with her business and allows Rarity to take care of cleaning her up.

It’s just a really sweet gesture that speaks multitudes about their friendship and I’m so glad the animators have decided to add these subtle little details.

Also yes I just typed a whole paragraph about cartoon horses.

For everyone wondering which episode this is, its Episode 20, Season 2 (It’s About Time). The first two gifs happen at 5:10 and the last two at 5:55.
